If length is not an issue for your veil, here are the standard lengths (in inches) for:

Blusher	18	covers face before and maybe during ceremony
Shoulder	20
Waist	30
Hip	36
Fingertip	45
Waltz	54	mid-calf length
Chapel	72	floor length
Cathedral	96	usually 1 to 2 feet beyond the train of your dress

For the Simple Budget, you may choose plain netting, or to add an edging: either a serged edge or 1/8-inch satin ribbon, to your veil. Select as many layers as you want. You may choose to attach the veil simply to a comb, barrette, satin headband, or small floral spray. You could also decorate the comb with some pearls or a small bow. You can combine any number of layers to create a water fountain veil. The longest layer will be on the bottom. With more layers, the top of the veil will be fluffier and higher. The overall look will be lush, ethereal and fluffy. Three or more layers at the same length look very rich and full.
